Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station, Unit 1 Docket Number 50-346, License Number NPF-3 Submittal of Post Examination Materials in Support of Recently Completed Initial License Operator Examinations Enclosed are the post examination materials for the initial licensed operator examinations that were administered during the week of February 1, 2021.
The enclosed items are being submitted to the NRC for review and approval in accordance with 10 CFR 55.40, Written Examinations and Operating Tests -
Implementation and NUREG 1021, Operator Licensing Examination Standards for Power Reactors (Revision 11).
After the Written Examination was completed, the Applicants participated in a review session to determine if enhancements to the questions were necessary. Results of this review indicate Question 25 should be evaluated for enhancement, prior to reuse.
Question 5 should be evaluated for a potential change to the exam answer key. During the exam review, the applicants provided substantive comments for Question 5.
Requested modification to the answer key for this question and supporting documentation is provided in Enclosure H.

Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station, Unit 1 L-21-025 Page 2 of 2 Determinations of the answer key change for Question 5 (CR-2021-00862) and potential enhancements for Question 25 (CR-2021-00861) are being tracked by the Corrective Action Program.
Post-exam analysis indicates potential generic training program weaknesses (Questions missed by 50 percent or more of the Applicants; (Questions 1, 5, and 18).
Investigations of these potential generic weaknesses are being tracked by the Corrective Action Program (CR 2021-00860).
