NRC Annual Assessment Summary OCONEE NUCLEAR STATION

  • NRC plans to conduct routine baseline inspections at the Oconee Nuclear Station for 2021
  • In addition to ROP baseline inspections, the NRC plans to conduct IP 93100, Safety-Conscious Work Environment Issue of Concern Follow up.

Safety Conscious Work Environment Assessment OCONEE NUCLEAR STATION

  • In August 2020 NRC inspectors assessed the Safety Conscious Work Environment within the Operations Department
  • NRC inspectors concluded that warning signs existed in the Operations Department that were indicative of a degraded Safety Conscious Work Environment.
  • Once the licensee completes their corrective actions, NRC will conduct a follow-up assessment to determine whether the actions taken are adequate.
