GRAND GULF NUCLEAR STATION - ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF RESPONSE
TO TRIENNIAL FIRE PROTECTION INSPECTION REPORT
05000416/2020013 AND NOTICE OF VIOLATION
Dear Mr. Franssen:
On December 3, 2020, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) cited Grand Gulf
Nuclear Station for failure to complete corrective actions for multiple spurious operation
concerns identified in 2011 and documented as non-cited violation 05000416/2017008-01,
Untimely Corrective Action. The Notice of Violation, enclosed with Inspection Report 05000416/2020013 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System Accession No.
ML20338A271), required you to respond in writing within 30 days. As referenced in your
response by letter dated February 1, 2021, the NRC granted an extension of an additional 30
days for the response.
We have reviewed your response and find that it meets the requirements of the Code of Federal
Regulations (10 CFR) 2.201. We have no further questions at this time and will review the
implementation of your corrective actions during a future inspection to determine whether full
compliance has been achieved and maintained.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRC's "Agencys Rules of Practice and Procedure," a
copy of this letter will be made available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public
