Dear Mr. Moul:
Enclosed is a copy of the Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact related to your application for exemptions dated April 2, 2020, as supplemented by letter dated October 7, 2020 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System Accession Nos.
ML20101M779 and ML20282A595, respectively).
The proposed exemptions would exempt NextEra Energy Duane Arnold, LLC, from certain requirements set forth in Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) Section 50.47, Emergency plans, and Appendix E, Emergency Planning and Preparedness for Production and Utilization Facilities, to 10 CFR Part 50, based on the permanently shut down and defueled status of the Duane Arnold Energy Center.
