OF NOVEMBER 5, 2020, CLOSED MEETING WITH FRAMATOME INC. AND THE U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION TO DISCUSS TEST PLAN INFORMATION FOR TOPICAL REPORT TO INCORPORATE CHROMIUM-COATED CLADDING AND CHROMIA-DOPED PELLETS On November 5, 2020, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff held a closed teleconference meeting via Microsoft Teams with representatives from Framatome Inc.
(Framatome). The purpose of the meeting was for Framatome to provide information to the NRC staff regarding the Test Plan for the Topical Report to incorporate Chromium-coated cladding and Chromia-doped pellets. The meeting was noticed on October 16, 2020, and is available in the Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML20294A430.
During the closed meeting, Framatome representatives and NRC staff discussed Framatomes presentations on its Models, Irradiated Testing Program, Material Properties and Test Overviews, Confirmatory Tests, Component Behavior, Critical Heat Flux, Loss of Coolant Accident (LOCA), Reactivity Insertion Accident, Summary, and next steps for future interactions.
