WESTINGHOUSE ELECTRIC COMPANY - NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION INSPECTION REPORT NO. 70-1151/2020-401
Dear Mr. Annacone:
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) conducted an announced inspection November 16-18, 2020, at the Westinghouse Columbia Fuel Fabrication Facility (CFFF) in Hopkins, SC. The purpose of the inspection was to determine whether activities authorized by the license were conducted safely and in accordance with U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) requirements. At the conclusion of the inspection on November 18, 2020, the inspector discussed the findings with members of your staff.
Areas examined during the inspection included fixed site and transportation shipment physical protection programs for special nuclear material of low strategic significance, physical protective measures implemented as required by NRC Orders for Interim Compensatory Measures dated June 17, 2002, and your safeguards information protection program. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative records, interviews with personnel, and observation of activities in progress.
The enclosed inspection report contains Security-Related Information in accordance with 10 CFR 2.390(d)(1) and its disclosure to unauthorized individuals could present a security vulnerability.
