POINT BEACH NUCLEAR PLANT, UNITS 1 AND 2 - RECEIPT AND AVAILABILITY OF THE SUBSEQUENT LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION

Dear Mr. Maher:

By letter dated November 16, 2020, (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Package Accession No. ML20329A292), NextEra Energy Point Beach, LLC (NextEra) submitted an application for subsequent license renewal of Renewed Facility Operating License Nos. DPR-24 and DPR-27 for Point Beach Nuclear Plant, Units 1 and 2 (Point Beach), to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). The NRC staff is currently performing an acceptance review of NextEras application in accordance with the requirements of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) Section 2.101(a)(2) and will notify you of the results of this review. Should the NRC staff determine that the application is acceptable for docketing, the NRC staff will issue a schedule for the review, in accordance with 10 CFR 2.102(a).

Enclosed for your information is a copy of the notice related to your application that is being sent to the Office of the Federal Register for publication.

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Bill Rogers as the project manager for the safety review and Ms. Phyllis Clark as the project manager for the environmental review of your subsequent license renewal application. Please forward copies of all subsequent license renewal correspondence to Mr. Rogers and Ms. Clark. Mr. Russell Haskell continues to remain responsible for the project management of all issues other than subsequent license renewal for Point Beach.
