In Reference 1, Holtec Decommissioning International, LLC (HDI) communicated to the NRC that the financial protection required by 10 CFR 50.54(w)(3) was being transitioned to a combination of insurance and Oyster Creek Nuclear Decommissioning Trust (NDT) demonstrated fund margin as documented in Reference 2. HDI is providing this letter to communicate that the required financial protection for the Pilgrim site is being similarly transitioned to a combination of insurance and Pilgrim demonstrated NDT fund margin as shown in Reference 2. Initially, Midlantic Equity Insurance Company (MEIC) will cover the first $20M of the $50M currently required.

This satisfies the financial protection required in 10 CFR 50.54(w).
