SUMMARY
OF THE SEPTEMBER 30, 2020, PUBLIC MEETING TO PROVIDE AN OVERVIEW OF THE HOLTEC INTERNATIONAL SMALL MODULAR REACTOR SMR-160 On September 30, 2020, a Category 1 public meeting was held between the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff and SMR, LLC (a Holtec International Company)
(Holtec)for Holtec to provide an overview of Holtecs organization structure, as well as information on their small modular pressurized-water reactor, SMR-160.
The public meeting commenced at 9:00 a.m., with opening remarks and an introduction of participants. Holtec then commenced their presentation on the topics listed below.
Open Session Topics:
Overview of Holtecs worldwide dry storage and transport experience SMR-160 design concepts overview Key principles of the SMR-160, including passive operation, near-zero site boundary dose, maximum factory fabrication and minimal site construction to reduce costs.

After the public portion of the meeting, the public was given an opportunity to provide comments. At the completion of the public meeting, the meeting was closed since portions of that presentation and associated discussions contained proprietary information.
