OF CLOSED PRE-SUBMITTAL MEETING FOR THE FUTURE SUBMITTAL OF WESTINGHOUSE ELECTRIC COMPANY TOPICAL REPORT WCAP-18446-P, INCREMENTAL EXTENSION OF BURNUP LIMIT FOR WESTINGHOUSE AND COMBUSTION ENGINEERING FUEL DESIGNS (EPID L-2020-TOP-0049)
On September 24, 2020, a closed pre-submittal virtual meeting was held between the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff and Westinghouse Electric Company (Westinghouse) representatives. The purpose of the meeting was for Westinghouse to present the information related to the future submittal of Westinghouse Topical Report (TR)
WCAP-18446-P, Incremental Extension of Burnup Limit for Westinghouse and Combustion Engineering Fuel Designs. Westinghouse presented information on submittal plan, outline of TR, overview of nuclear designs, approach for the mechanical design, overview of the end-of-life seismic calculations and thermohydraulic design methods, radiological consequences analyses, and plant-specific implementation plans. By letter dated August 26, 2020, Westinghouse submitted an executive summary (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML20239A843) and by letter dated September 11, 2020, submitted presentation slides (ADAMS Accession No. ML20255A320).
