Enclosed is export application XSNM3818, dated August 25, 2020 submitted by Framatome Inc., and received by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission. The application requests the export of 55,000 kilograms of low-enriched uranium to Japan for use as reload fuel at Takahama Nuclear Power Station, Unit 3 and Unit 4.
Assurances from Japan that the material will be subject to all the terms and conditions of an agreement for cooperation are required. Your assistance in obtaining the necessary assurances will be appreciated.
