BOMB THREAT On November 22, 1977, at approximately 6:50 AM, the Westchester Business i

Office of Consolidated Edison Company of New York received a telephone call from an unidentified male who said "A bomb is going to be brought into Unit No. 3 at Indian Point between 8:00 AM and 12:00 noon."

Indian Point Station was notified by Consolidated Edison Corporate Headquarters, at approximately 7:30 AM. LLEA have been notified and are on site assisting in the search of Unit Nos. 2 & 3 and the surrounding property. Emergency procedures are in effect. All personnel and hand-carried packages entering the site are being physically searched. This.

will continue until after 12:00 noon. An inspector is on site and will keep Region I advised. The FBI has been notified.

The IAT has been notified.

Media interest is expected because of the' interest in the nuclear industry.

The State of New York has been informed. A press release is not planned by the licensee or NRC.
