SHUTDOWN FOR REPL*sCEMENT OF TERMINAL BLOCKS Haddam Neck Plant is planning a shutdown commencing this evening (January 27,1978) to replace 48 terminal blocks located inside the containment which are necessary for the operation of certain safety related equipment, and to also balance the main turbine.
Recent tests conducted indicate that these terminal blocks (a type of electrical connector) are incapable of performing satisfact,orily in the high temperature / humidity environment following a loss of coolant accident.
