SUBJECT:
STEAM GENELATOR TUBE LEAK Unit shutdown comenced at 1:00 p.m. on February 14 due to an apparent steam generator tube leak of 20.8 gallons per hour.
The unit will be l
placed in a cold shutdown condition, a portion of the reactor coolant l
system will be drained, and the steam generator will be tested to identify the leaky tube (s).
The affected tubes will be plugged.
se Estimated duration of the shutdown is 21 days as the licensee will also complete steam generator tube inspection required by the license.

Unit No. 3, which has been shutdown for refueling, is conducting low ls l
l power physics tests and is scheduled for full power operation

February 18.
l Media interest is not expected.
The State of Florida has been notified.
S A news release is being planned by the licensee.

from the Plant Manager at 12:45 p.m. on February 14.
