CERTIFICATE AMENDMENT REQUEST - PORTSMOUTH GASEOUS DIFFUSION PLANT CLARIFICATION AND COMPLIANCE PLAN COMPLETION DATE EXTENSION RELATED TO MEASURING AND TEST EQUIPMENT (M&TE) (TAC NO. L32051)

Dear Mr. Miller:

In accordance with your application dated October 21,1997, and pursuant to Part 76 of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Certificate of Compliance GDP-2 is hereby amended by revising the Plan of Action and Schedule of issue 24 of DOEiORO-2027/R3 entitled " Plan for Achieving Comoliance with NRC Regulations at the Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant" to clarify commitments related to M&TE and extend the completion date for revising the calibration program to meet the more formal requirements for AQ structures, systems and components from December 31,1997, to June 30,1998. Accordingly, Condition 8 has been revised to include the date of October 21,1997. This amendment is effective immediately upon issuance.

All other conditions of this certificate shall remain the same.

Enclosed is a copy of the revised Certificate of Compliance.
