REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION PERTAINING TO THE RESPONSE TO GENERIC LETTER 97-04 FOR ARKANSAS NUCLEAR ONE, UNITS 1 AND 2 (ANO-1 AND ANO-2)(TAC NOS. M99957 AND M99958)
Dear Mr. Hutchinson:
Generic Letter (GL) 97-04," Assurance of Sufficient Net Positive Suction Head for Emergency Core Cooling and Containment Heat Removal Pumps," was issued on October 7, 1997. The GL requested that licensees provide information necessary to confirm the adequacy of the net positive suction head available for emergency core cooling and containment heat removal pumps. By letter dated January 5,1998, Entergy Operations, Inc., submitted its 90 day response to GL 97-04 for ANO-1 and ANO-2. The staff has reviewed your response and has determined that additional information is necessary. Please provide the information in the attached request within 30 days from the date of this letter. Please contact me if you have any questions regarding this request for information.
