Farley Nuclear Plant - Unit 2 License Conditions Related to Power Uprate Facility Operatina License and Technical Specifications Amendment No.129 Ladies and Gentlemen:
NRC letter dated April 29,1998 mmended the Joseph M. Farley Nuclear Plant (FNP) Unit 2 Facility Operating License and Technical Specifications to allow operation at an increased reactor core power level of 2775 megawatts thermal (Mwt). The amendment added three license conditions to Appendix C of the Facility Operating License (FOL). The Staff requested written notification upon satisfying these additional conditions. The purpose of this letter is to confirm that FNP has satisfied the first license condition of FOL Appendix C, " Additional Conditions Operating License No. NPF-8," which required completion of classroom and simulator training for operations crews and temporary simulator modifications, as described in SNC's letter dated September 22,1997 and evaluated in the Staff's Safety Evaluation dated April 29,1998, prior to Unit 2 entering Mode 2 from the spring 1998 refueling outage.
