Subject:

Facility Outage Due to Reactor Coolant System Leakage The Rancho Seco facility was shut down at 3:00 p.m. on June 12, 1978, when the reactor coolant system unidentified leakage rate reached the i

technical specification limit of 1 GPM.

The licensee had been monitoring a slowly increasing leak rate during the past month.

Power operations are scheduled for resumption during the week of June 19, 1978, following completion of repairs.

The licensee issued a press release regarding the unit outage on 5

June 12, 1978.
