WITHDRAWAL OF APPLICATIONS FOR AMENDMENTS (TAC NOS. 61141, 61142, l 64680,.64681 AND 56348)

The purpose of this letter is to transmit to you the enclosed Notice of Withdrawal of Applications for Amendments to Facility Operating Licenses. By letter dated March 17, 1989, our staff, with VEPCO's concurrence, closed out four amendment requests submitted by VEPC0 to the NRC over the past several years. Of the four amendment requests, three had previously been noticed in the Federal Register under the Biweekly Notices of Applications and Amendments to Operating Licenses Involving No Significant Hazards Considerations. These three requests are:

(1) NA-1&2-Amend License by Adding Requirement for Implementation of Integrated Implementation Schedule, VEPC0 Serial No.85-387, Tac Nos.

61141 and 61142; (2) NA-1&2-Reactor Trip System Functional Testing, VEPC0 Serial No.86-655, NRC Tac Nos. 64680 and 64681; and (3) NA-2-Revise Technical Specifications to Indicate Valves Tested Only for Event V, Serial No.160, Tac No. 54834 (please note that this Tac No. was incorrectly identified as 56348 in the March 17, 1989 letter).

The fourth request, to revise Technical Specification 3.0.5 to take action within 2 hours2.314815e-5 days <br />5.555556e-4 hours <br />3.306878e-6 weeks <br />7.61e-7 months <br /> (VEPC0 Serial No.177, NRC Tac Nos. 56357 and 56358), was also closed out in the March 17, 1989 letter. However, since this request was never i published in the Federal Register, it is not addressed in the enclosed Notice  !
