Murley (NRC) dated November 16, 1989 In reference (a), you requested our review and approval of the Type A test schedule for Quad Cities, Unit 1, as required by 10 CFR Part 50, Appendix J, and the Technical Specifications (TS). We reviewed your proposal to schedule the next Unit 1 Type A test for Fall 1989. Since Fall 1989 represents the next refueling outage after the last two consecutive Unit 1 Type A test failures, we conclude your schedule complies with the requirements of Appendix J, Section III.A.6 and applicable TS.
