Subject: NRC Region I Inspection Report No. 50-271/89-09
This refers to the routine resident safety inspection conducted by Mr. G. Grant
of this office on May 31 - July 17, 1989, at the Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power
Station, Vernon, Vermont. The inspection consisted of observation of activi-
ties, interviews with personnel and document reviews.
The results of the in-
spection are described in the NRC Region I Inspection Report enclosed with this
letter and were discussed with Mr. J. Pelletier of your staff at the conclusion
of the inspection.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," a copy of
this letter and the enclosures will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
