in this inspection. The inspection consisted of document reviews, interviews,
and observation'of activities. =The results have been discussed with
- Mr. Martin McCormick, Jr. of your staf f.
Based on our inspection, apparent violations involving inadequate surveil'1ance
'
testing and recurrent failures to follow procedures occurred during the
performance of several activities. These apparent violations-have been
categorized by severity. level according to 10 CFR Part 2, Appendix C
-
L(Enforcement Policy). You are required to respond to these violations and in
preparing ~your response.you should follow the instructions.in Appendix A.
Certain fire protection. issues discussed.in section 3.1 may represent. potential
enforcement issues. We will: contact you in the future, after we have completed
our review of these items.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790(a), a copy of this letter and the enclosures
will be placed in the Public Document Room. The response directed by this
letter and the accompanying notice are' not subject to the clearance procedures
of the Office'of Management and Budget as required by the Paperwork Reduction
Act of 1980, PL 96-511.
