This refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by Messrs. R. Bocanegra
and A. G. Januska of this office on March 6-10, 1989, of activities at Fermi 2
Nuclear Power Station authorized by NRC Operating License No. NPF-43, and to
the discussion of.nur findings with Mr. D. Gibson and others of your staff at

the conclusion of the inspection.
The enclosed copy of our inspection report identifies areas examined during
the inspection. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of a selective
examination of procedures and representative records, observations ~, and
interviews with personnel.
In addition, our Mobile Laboratory was at the site
during the inspection to perform independent measurements vf radioactivity.'

No violations of NRC requirements were identified during the course of this
inspection.
