Operating License No. DPR-73 Docket No. 50-320 Annual Update of the System Description and Technical Evaluation Report for the TMI-2 Submerged Demineralized System
Dear Sirs:
As requested by NRC Letter dated February 4,1982, GPU Nuclear has performed the annual review of the System Description (SD) and Technical Evaluation Report (TER) for the TMI-2 Submerged Demineralized System (SDS) and has determined that minor changes to the SD are required due to the addition of a post-filter te the leakage containment system. These changes are documented on the attached revised pages. In addition, as discussed in GPU Nuclear letter 4410-88-L-0135, dated August 25, 1988, the SDS has been taken out of service and will no longer process / filter contaminated liquids; however, the following subsystems will remain in operation: 1) offgas, vent, and drain, 2) monitor tanks, 3) dewatering station, 4) vacuum outgassing system, 5) leakage containment system, and 6) the Reactor Coolant System manifold.
GPU Nuclear will continue to provide annual updates of the SDS SD and TER if modifications are made to active subsystems.
