~ SYSTEM (SPDS) SAFETY ANALYSIS REPORT, REVIS!tsN 3 Gentlemen:
In TXX-4687. dated February 7, 1986, TU Electric submitted to the NRC Revision 2 of the CPSES SPDS Safety Analysis Report (SAR).
During a recent SPDS audit, TU Electric identified to the NRC that several design changes have been implemented since the submittal of the Revision 2 SAR.
In addition, TU Electric stated that a revised SAR would be submitted to the NRC which incorporates the design changes and addresses the open issues as a result of I
the audit'. The specific audit issues are:
- 1. Continuous display for the parameter " Radioactivity Control,"
- 2. SPDS availability, and
- 3. Human factors of the SPDS display screens.
Enclosed is Revision 3 to the CPSES SPDS SAR.
It should be noted that TV Electric does not intend to revise or resubmit the SPDS SAR in the event of future changes to the system.
Instead, the design basis document will supersede the SAR and reflect the changes.
However. TU Electric will inform the NRC of any change that affects the current licensing commitments.
