Dear Mr. Kingsley:
SUBJECT:
SAFETY ISSUE ~ MANAGEMENT SYSTEM - SEQUOYAH UNITS 1 AND 2 In our letter dated June 27, 1989, we provided you with a copy of the computer printout of the generic and plant specific information contained in the NRC's Safety Issues Management System (SIMS) for Sequoyah, Units 1 and 2.
This information was based on an update provided by your letter dated March 7,1989.
We requested that you update the SIMS printout on the actual or projected completion of the multi-plant action (MPA) items and the plant-specific items listed in the printout.
In your letter dated March 7,1989, you identified issues which were not reconized by your staff. After reviewing this information, we added data to the SIMS database to identify such issues.
In some cases, we deleted such issues or added "NA", for not applicable to Sequoyah, to the licensee implemen-tation date column for such issues, where it was appropriate. These changes were incorporated into the SIMS printout enclosed with our June 27, 1989 letter.
Inadvertently, we did not identify in our June 27, 1989 letter the "unrecogniz-able" issues that we clarified in the SIMS printout enclosed in that letter.
These issues are identified in the enclosed table, with the clarification that should be in the SIMS printout.
This table includes some ir formation which was not available for our June 27, 1989 letter.
Your staff should use this table in preparing the requested update of the SIMS database.
If your staff has any questions related to this letter, they should contact J. Donohew, Sequoyah Project Manager at (301)492.D704.
8 Sincerely,igned by Rajender Auluck for o
