Dear Sir:

This responds to a letter dated August 22, 1989, from the Deputy Executive Director for Nuclear Materials Safety, Safeguards and Operations Support with which was transmitted an order Imposing a Civil Monetary Penalty in the amount of $2,500.

While we continue to disagree with certain of the Commission's conclusions, particularly as to violation D, we recognize that, given the fact that we had' already agreed to most of the remaining violations, little purpose would be served by pursuing the matter further.

Our check, payable to the Treasurer of the United States, in the amount of

$2,500 is accordingly enclosed.
