In response to Generic Letter 87-09, South Carolina Electric & Gas Company l (SCE&G) hereby requests revision to the Virgil C. Summer Nuclear Station Technical Specifications. These proposed revisions clarify and solve various l problems regarding Technical Specifications 4.0.3 and 4.0.4. )
This request is' comprised of three enclosures. Enclosure 1 contains the
. proposed amended pages to. Specifications 4.0.3 and 4.0.4. Enclosure 2 provides
'the revised bases for Specifications 4.0.3 and 4.0.4. Enclosure 3 provides the results of an analysis, pursuant to 10 CFR 50.91, which concludes that the proposed changes do not involve a significant hazards consideration.
These changes have been reviewed and approved by the Plant Safety Review Committee and the Nuclear Safety Review Committee.
