during.the period. April 17-21', 1989, of activities authorized by NRC

Construction Permits CPPR-126 and.CPPR-127 for the Comanche Peak Steam Electric

Station, Units.1 and '2, and to the discussion of our findings with

-inspection on April 21, 1989.

. Areas examined during this preoperational inspection inclu'ed the water

chemistry and. radiochemistry programs for Unit 1.

Within these. areas, the

-inspection, consisted of selective examination of procedures and' representative

records, interviews.with personnel, and observations by the NRC inspector.

The

. inspection findings.are documented in the enclosed inspection report.

Within the scope of the inspection, no viciations'or deviations were

. identified.

We have also examined actions you have taken with regard to previously

identified inspection findings. The status of these items is identified in

paragraph 2 of the enclosed report.
