This letter refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by R. A. McBrearty
of this office on August 7-11, 1989 at the Limerick Generating Station Unit 1
in Sanatoga, PA.
Mr. McBrearty discussed the findings of the inspection with
Mr. G. M. Leitch of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
The inspector focused on engineering activities provided in support of plant
cperations. Areas examined during the inspection are described in the NRC
Region I Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these
areas, the inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and
representative records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the
inspector.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
