Dear Mr. Cahill:

This refers to the inspertion conducted by Mr. R. Latta and an NRC

consultant during the period June 7 through July 5,

1989, of

activities authorized by NRC Construction Permits CPPR-126 and

CPPR-127 for the Comanche Peak Steam Electric Station, Units 1

and 2, and to the discussion of our findings with you and other

members of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.

The' enclosed copy of our inspection report identifies areas examined

during the inspection.

Within these areas, the inspection consisted

'

of selective examination of procedures and representative records,

interviews with. personnel, and observations by the inspectors.

Within the scope of the inspection, no violations or deviations were

identified.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a

copy of this letter and the enclosed inspection report will be

placed in'the NRC Public Document Rcom.

Should you have any questions concerning this inspection, we will be

pleased to discuss them with you.
