As required by Reference 2. TV Electric submitted a response to the NRC, logged TXX-6705, dated September 8, 1987, which provided an overview of our program for monitoring the thickness of pipe walls in high. energy single-phase and two phase carbon steel piping.

In reply to Reference 1, the Corrosion Monitoring Program discussed in Reference 2 has been proceduralized for CPSES Unit 1 and Unit'2 to ensure that erosion / corrosion does not lead to degradation of high_ ene,L + N'.e-phase and two phase carbon steel piping systems during the operating life of CPSES. TU Electric has begun the examinations and data collection for CPSES Unit I and baseline data will be

available by the end of the unit's first refueling outage.

Unit 2' Baseline i-data should also be available by the end of the first refueling outage for-Unit 2.
