20555 PLANT HATCH - UNIT 1 NRC DOCKET 50-321 OPERATING LICENSE DPR-57 HITHDRAHAL OF REOUEST TO REVISE TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS Gentlemen:
In our letter NED-85-518, dated August 1,1985 Georgia Power Company submitted a request which would revise the Technical Specifications in the areas of inservice inspection and continued operation with inoperable components.
Subseauent to that submittal the NRC issued Amendment No.119 on December 23, 1985, which incorporated the inservice inspection portion of our August 1, 1985 submittal.
The other portion of our submittal, which involved testing intervals for components and continued operation with inoperable components, was not approved at that time.
Several amendments have been issued since December 1985 which impact the content of our original submittal.
Additionally, upon closer examination and discussions with the NRC (L. P. Crocker NRR), it appears that the Technical Specifications should be revised to be similar to the Hatch Unit 2 Technical Specifications.
Based on the above considerations we respectfully request that the outstanding portion of c,ur August 1,
1985 submittal be withdrawn.
He will submit a revised request in the near future.
L Sincerely,
