SUBJECT: NRC INSPECTION REPORT 50-416/98-04
Dear Mr. Hagan:
From April 14-16,1998, an inspection of your inservice inspection activities was performed at
your Grand Gulf Nuclear Station reactor facility. The results of this inspection were discussed
with Mr. W. Eaton and other members of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection. The
enclosed report presents the scope and results of that inspection.
The inspector determined, by observation of the limited inservice inspection and ASME Code
replacement activities ongoing during the inspection, and by review of records, that the inservice
inspection program was being adequately implemented in accordance with licensee procedures,
ASME Code requirements, and NRC regulatory requirements.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter and its
enclosure will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room (PDR).
Should you have any questions conceming this inspection, we will be pleased to discuss them
with you.
