The NRC will perfonn the independent verification inspection during the period March 27 through April 7, 1989, that was previously scheduled for April 3-14, 1989, at the River Bend Station using the NRC Mobile Nondestructive Examination (NDE)trailerandteam.
The scope of this inspection will include inservice inspection activities, NDE activities associated with modifications, and the licensee's program for pipe wall thinning. The modification welds will be reinspected by the NRC NDE personnel using various NDE methods including radiography. We anticipate that we will require 4 to 6 hours6.944444e-5 days <br />0.00167 hours <br />9.920635e-6 weeks <br />2.283e-6 months <br /> of acccss each night to perform radiography.
During the performance of radiography, we will require restricted personnel access for radiological safety purposes. The NRC NDE team will. work closely with the licensee's schedule.
Members of your staff will be kept informed of our inspection progress and significant findings.
The evaluation of examination results and preparation of an inspection report l
will be completed and the results will be transmitted to you through the standard NRC inspection report.
