Gentlemen:
SUBJECT:
Request for Extension of Implementation of Operating License Amendment Omaha Public Power District (OPPD) submitted an " Application for Amendment of Operating Licensing" in Reference 2.
This letter requested administrative clarifications pertaining to the applicability of surveillance requirements.
Reference 3 superceded this original submittal, and Reference 4 submitted a revised "No Significant Hazards Consideration."
As part of the Reference 2 and 3 submittals OPPD requested 30 days from the date of issuance of the amendment for implementation of the revised specifications. Although the original specification changes requested are administrative in nature, it will require wording changes to a large percentage of the Surveillance Tests.
Because these changes require PRC review, it will make a 30 day implementation schedule impractical. As a result, OPPD requests that the 30 day implementation time be extended to 90 days to allow OPPD sufficient time for proper and thorough implementation of this amendment.
