.This is in response to Mr. A. B. Scherer's letter of June 9,1989 (reference

.LD-89-063) regarding the May 11', 1989 Notice of Violation.
' It. is not clear to us why eight subparts of MFG-16-15xx were signed 'and dated and five were not.
If, as you state in your letter, the approval is on.the L
cover sheet of the central procedure there would be no need for additional signa-tures on the subparts.
Nevertheless,.we are withdrawing the Notice of Violation. To avoid. confusion in' the future you should establish a uniform procedure for approving critical procedures. This is. being identified as an open item (89 200-02).
