Management Meeting I
On June 12, 1989, representatives of the Arkansas Power & Light Company met with Region IV personnel in Arlington, Texas, to discuss the actions taken by AP&L to reduce the backlog of past due licensee event reports (LERs).
The licensee informed the Region that all the~ overdue LERs identified during the first part of the inspection were submitted on or before June 9,1989. The licensee also presented information about enhancements to their corrective action and event reporting programs and procedures to prevent the recurrence of late reporting of LERs to the NRC. Additionally, the licensee discussed a recently implemented procedure that requires an operability determination be made within 24 hours2.777778e-4 days <br />0.00667 hours <br />3.968254e-5 weeks <br />9.132e-6 months <br /> for those Condition Reports that require such a determination.
