EMERGENCY CORE COOLING SYSTEM (ECCS) OUTAGES - THI ACTION ITEM II.K.3.17 By letter dated April 18, 1989, the Louisiana Power & Light Company (LP&L) responded to the NRC request for status of implementation of TMI Action Plan Items. For the subject action iten., LP&L indicated that a report would be issued af ter 5 years of operation. rhis action item was an early requirement after the TMI event to allow the NRC to quickly evaluate the existing requirements and prepare follow-up actions. We consider the requirements of 10 CFR 50.72 and 50.73 and the industries efforts to report on the NPRDS to be adequate for j reporting ECCS outages. There is no need for a special report from Waterford 3 to fulfill Action Item II.K.3.17. iThis item is closed for Waterford 3.
