32.21 The respanse to question 032.11 is incomplete and unacceptable.

I staff's review of GESSAR included a review of the automatic depressuri -

~

zation system (ADS) function and the proposed pressure relief function in BWR/6 plants.

These functions were designed with dual logics in l

each division of the' system equipment, specifically Logics "A" and 4

"E" in division 1 and Logics "B" and "F" in division 2.

A coincidence of the 2 logics of either division will actuate the system.

These within division logics are designed to meet the si,,ngle failure ' criterion in order to pr, event inadvertent actuation of ADS or pressure relief.

Therefore, provide a complete description which demonstrates how the l

above stated design basis is implemented for those portions.of the logics within the Analog Transmitter / Trip Unit System.

Include appro-priate electrical and physical diagrams as necessary in responding to lg this concern.

I 32.22 The response to question 032.18 on equipment qualification is not acceptable.

l In order for the staff to evaluate the qualification of the analog i

transmitter / trip unit system equipment included on the topical report, we require that the qualification information, which is currently required by the staff on all licensing applications, be provided.
