to USNRC, dated January 20, 1989 Gentlemen:

The referenced letter provided TU Electric's response to NOV 446/8843-V-03.

In that response. TU Electric stated that by July 13, 1989, an update would be provided.to indi:cate a completion date for removal and examination of the spool piece from the Unit 2 Safety Injection System. The commencement of Unit 2 scheduling activities has been postponed. Therefore, this item will be scheduled to be completed six months prior to Unit 2 fuel load.
