On January 31, 1989, the District responded to Generic Letter 88-17, " Loss of Decay Heat Removal." The District has since discovered an inconsistency within the attachment accompanying the response. On page 1 of the attachment, in the first paragraph of Expeditious Action (2), the District stated that
. . . administrative controls will be provided to ensure containment closure is achieved prior to reaching an RCS temperature of 200*F." This statement is inconsistent with information given elsewhere in the attachment that assures containment closure prior to core uncovery.
The ilitrict amends the referenced statement to read ". . . administrative conti .s will be provided to ensure containment closure is achieved prior to core uncovery." This amended statement is consistent with both the information given elsewhere in the attachment and the intent of ' Expeditious Actions' (2) stated in the attachment to Generic Letter 88-17. ,
