Ef fective April 4,1988 the University of Iowell has employed a new individual who is assuming the position of Radiation Safety Officer for the University. The individual, Mr. Warren Church, is a certified health physicist with an extensive background in health physics. He is replacing Mr. George E. Chabot who has served as Radiation Safety Officer for seventeen years.
Mr. Chabot has assumed another position at the University but will be working closely with Mr. Church to assure a smooth transition and turnover of responsibilities.
We are pleased that Mr. Church has accepted the position and expect he will do a fine job in this capacity. A copy of Mr.

It will be necessary to' amend Materials Licenses 20-07446-01, 20-07446-02, 20-07446-03, and SNM-714 to reflect this change. License Numbers 20-07446-02 and 20-07446-03 are exempt from fees as provided in $170.11(a)(9)'of the enclosed 10 CFR 170. However, amendment fees totalling $350 are required to amend Licensgs 20-07446-01 and SNM-714 as specified in fee Categories 3N ($120) and la ($230), respectively, of 10 CFR 170. Payment should be made to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission and mailed to my attention at our Washington, D.C. address.
Your application will be processed by the Region I Licensing staff 1 coated at 475 Allendale Road, King of Prussia, Pennsylvania 19406. The fees, however, are required prior to issuance of the amendments to 20-07446-01 and SNM-714 When submitting the fees, please refer to CONTROL NUMBERS 108693 and 108696.
