Inspection. Report No. 70-1100/89-04 This refers to the routine, unannounced inspection conducted by Mr. M. Austin of this office on July 17-21, 1989, which included a review of your activities in the. functional areas of management control, criticality safety, radiological control and emergency preparedness, and to the discussions of our findings held

' by Mr. Austin with you, Dr. Brewer and others of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection. The inspection consisted of selected examination of procedures and representative records, interviews with personnel and observations by the inspector.

Within the scope of'this inspection, one violation was identified. You are required to reply to this matter in accordance with the enclosed Appendix A.

The response directed by this letter and the accompanying Notice is not subject'to the clearance procedures of the Office of Management and Budget as required by the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1980, PL 96-511. i Your cooperation with us is appreciated.
