The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) by Generic Letter Number 89-06 (Log Number 2927, requested TE to furni.2h a 100FR50.54(f) certificatica of the implementation status of the Safety Parameter Display System (SPDS) at the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station (DBNPS), Unit Number 1.-
The Generic Letter, which was issued by the NRC on April 12, 1989, and received by Toledo Edison (TE) on May 11, 1989, requested that this certification be provided within 90 days of the date of Generic Letter Number 89-06.
i In order to provide the necessary certification, TE vill require a 45 day extension until August 25, 1989. This vill allow comprehensive and auditable documentation to be generated which will certify the status of the DBNPS SPDS in response to the Generic Letter.
