Generic Letter 89-06 Safety Parameter Display System l
Generic Letter 89-06 requested licensees to certify that either their Safety Parameter Display System (SPDS) fully met the requirements of NUREG 0737, Supplement 1, " Requirements for Emergency Response Capability",
as clarified by NUREG 1342, "A Status Report Regarding Industry Implementa-tion of Safety Parameter Display Systems", or that the SPDS would be modified to fully meet these requirements.
PGE has reviewed NUREG 0737, Supplement I and certifles that the Trojan SPOS does fully meet the requirements of NUREG 0737 Supplement 1.
The information used to make this determination is available for your review and will be retained for three years as requested in the generic letter.
PGE is completing the review of NUREG 1342.
PGE will identify those areas where the current SPDS design and NUREC 1342 requirements differ and will inform you of our determination by September 15, 1989.
