Enforcement Conference Report No. 50-245/89-13
An Enforcement Conference was held at the NRC Region I office on June 21,
1989 with NRC and licensee representatives to discuss apparent violations and
programmatic deficiencies in the area of Control of Radioactive Material at
the Millstone Nuclear Generating Station. These violations and programmatic
deficiencies were discussed in NRC Inspection Report No. 50-245/89-13, dated
June 9,1989. A Notice of Significant Licensee Meeting issued June 12, 1989,
is attached as Enclosure 1.
Topics discussed during the meeting and the meeting attendees are listed in.
the attached Enforcement Conference Report, Enclosure 2. Your briefing agenda
and handout material are attached with the Enforcement Conference Report. The
two hour Enforcement Conference was held to give you the opportunity to refute
any discrepant inspection findings and discuss short and long-term corrective
actions for the apparent violations and programmatic deficiencies.
Further actions to be taken by the NRC. with respect to the apparent violations
and progran,matic deficiencies, will-be the subject cf aparate correspondence.
