Post Office Box 551.
Little. Rock, Arkansas. 72203
Dear Mr. Campbell:
SUBJECT: SAFETY EVALUATION ON THE PROCEDURES GENERATION
PACKAGE FOR THE EMERGENCY OPERATING PROCEDURES.FOR
ARKANSAS NUCLEAR ONE, UNIT 1, (TAC NO. 42842)
The staff has reviewed your submittals dated April 15. 1983 and July 17, 1984,
which transmitted the Arkansas Nuclear One, Unit 1 (ANO-1), Procedures Generation
Package (PGP), and additional information which the staff had requested. As
described in the enclosed Safety Evaluation (SE), the staff found that
your PGP, as described in your submittals, is incomplete in some of its
content.
Rather, than requesting additional information to resolve each of the concerns
stated in the SE, the staff requests that you evaluate these concerns
and revise your PGP where appropriate.
For concerns which your deem to be
inappropriate for inclusion in the PGP, you should develop.and maintain a
documented justification.
The staff has determined that the concerns of this SE are consistent with the
concerns noted in the ANO-1 Emergency Operating Procedures (E0P) Inspection Report
(NRC Inspection Report No. 50-313/88-17) dated July 25, 1988. Your response to
the SE concerns will be raviewed along with the followup inspection of the
items noted in the E0P inspection report.
Based upon the' issuance of this SE,
TAC. No. 42842 is considered closed.
Sincerely,
/d
