Gentlemen:
By letter dated March 21', 1989, Mr. S.D. Ebneter noted that during the Operational Safety. Team Inspection conducted at McGuire during February and March 1989, documented justification for deviating from the Westinghouse Owner's. Group Guidelines was not' found by NRC inspectors.
This matter was : subsequently discussed in a telephone conference between members of the NRC staff 'and Duke n
personnel on March 30, 1989.
During this call, we committed to provide the NRC staff a' safety significant deviation document for McGuire by June:30, 1989.
