Implementation of Upgraded Emergency Operating Procedures

Dear Sir:

In accordance with the requirements set forth 12 Reference (b) requiring the upgrading of Emergency Operating Procedures (EDTs) for the Yankee Nuclear Power Station (YNPS), the Yankee Atomic Electric Co'apany (YAEC) hereby states that those actions have been completed.

Specifically, the YNPS has developed, trained to, and implemented, new E0Ps based on the Westinghouse Owners Group Emergency Response Guidelines, and in accordance with the YNPS Procedures Generation Package (previously submitted by Reference (g)). The schedule'for accomplishing these actions was originally specified in Reference (b), modified by References (f), (h), and (i), to be July 1, 1989.

Accordingly, YAEC now believes that all of the requirements of the )

Commission " Order Modifying License Confirming Additional Licensec Commitments on Emergency Response Capability," dated July 5, 1985, Reference (b) have been satisfied.
